Docent Job.

My new job at The Art Museum as a docent is just wonderful.
I would work everyday if I could, unfortunately with it only being a volunteer job the sign ups were first come, first serve.
Today was my first day, I was rather nervous. I went almost an hour early just to go through the museum one last time to make sure I knew what I needed to know and wanted to share.
Going into this I thought I would have to force the kids to talk, ask them the questions. In fear that they would not be interested in the art as adults may be.
I was very wrong. So many of them were excited to learn and had dozens of questions.
Kids are smarter then most people may think.

After my groups the teachers asked how long I have been giving tours for, they were surprised to hear it was my first day and thought I did a great job. It was uplifting to know that I communicated well with the kids and made it an exciting trip for them.

All in all. I love this new job.
