My birds tattoo.

I really do fancy this tattoo of mine.

I got it on Christmas Eve 2010.

I love how it just screams my name.

You know you really love someone when it always feels new to you.

Like that shirt you wear on every date because you look so good in it? That's how I feel about my tattoo.

I always wanted a little something under my collarbone because I thought it always looked so dainty and a little sexy. When I saw a photograph of simple bird silhouettes, it clicked. It is nothing big, bright, or showy. Perfect for me.

I did not think long and hard about it. I just got it and ended up loving it.

There are a couple meanings to it.

I was in my first semester of college up in Portland. I felt as though I was one of the few people from my class who took a chance and spread my wings and leave Utah. I take journeys in life.

Another reason why the placement is perfect for me is what it also resembles. My Grandpa and Mom use to always tell me to listen to the little birdie on my shoulder.

So they represent the little birdies that guide me through my rights and wrongs.

I do plan on getting more tattoos.

A peacock feather, the butterfly I took a photo of when I first knew I wanted photography as a huge part in my life, and I'm sure a quote to go with it.
