Thankful Thursday

It's so crazy that I fly home tomorrow!
I am Thankful for all of these people I have met here in Mexico.
I could write so much about everyone I met. They all impacted me in some way. I am so thankful to cross paths with each and everyone of them.

All of the Liga MAC ladies!! They are all just so wonderful. It was amazing getting to know all of these wonderful ladies. I could write something about each one of them and how special they are too much. Not to mention they are all so funny!
Cynthia is the one the got me into all of the activities with LigaMAC. She is such a wonderful lady! She always made sure I was involved with everything that was going on. She is going to be missed.

Bob and Eve have been good friends of ours from the beginning. Eve helped my parents find their homes and found great matches for them! She is also an amazing chef! She invited us over a couple times for dinner and it was delish! Bob is Scottish, so it's always fun to talk and hear his neat accent! & he could talk about fishing for hours!

Just because I think he's cool.

Ivan is such an amazing artist. I was so lucky to be able to meet and get to know him a little bit. Not only is he amazing at what he does but he is such a nice guy! He always welcomes us into his gallery and loves showing his new creations. When we went to go do an interview with him the first time he gave us one of his colorful heart paintings, it was so generous of him and it is so beautiful!

Remember the ring my parents got for me that I made a blog about? This is Armando, he is the designer and creator of that ring. Oh, and don't forget his little puppy Choco. He owns a jewelry/art gallery downtown where my Mom got her fire opal a few years ago. He can always answer questions about the Mexican Culture and art. It's nice to go downtown and stop to say hi!

(Left)This is Tally. We worked together at Liga MAC for The Bookstore. She is such a happy lady full of energy and such a hard worker! She would always remind me of how hard of a worker I was as well. Betty, (Right)Blanca, and Erica. I worked with them in the office. They are all such hard workers with Liga MAC and are so warm and friendly. They welcomed me with open arms and hug every time I went in to help.

The Caplan family. I love them like they are my own family. We first met because they were our neighbors and my parents babysat the kiddos a couple times. Little Mason would always call me "Miss Mawiah" and he was my little buddy. The kids are are so adorable and Jen and Mason are two of the nicest people. I am going to miss them so much. It's crazy to think that the next time I see them little Sidney will be walking and probably talking!

These are the kids that we taught for English Classes. They are all so inspiring to me, they always come into the centro ready to learn. (Even though it's on their Saturday.) English is really going to help them someday, it will give them more opportunities for better careers. It felt so great to help Adrian (pictured on the right), Roberto, and Jeru. They made teaching so much fun! One remember I had was when I was reading something that didn't make since and I said "What the heck?" they laughed and asked what that meant, once I explained what it meant the entire class they would laugh and say "What the heck! What the heck!" They thought it was a good time.
