Scrapbook paper and tiles create great coasters.
I've been wanting to do this project for a long while now and finally had the chance to!
It's a good thing my Aunt doesn't have facebook or follow my blog.
I made these for her birthday which is on Friday.
Supplies
4x4 tiles: I bought 6 at Home Depot and it only cost me $1.02. Boom!
Scrapbook paper.
Mod Podge.
Felt.
Strong adhesive. I usually go with hot glue.
Steps
1. Cut your scrapbook paper to the size of the tile. Mine turned out a bit smaller creating a boarder.
2. Smear mod podge smoothly onto tile (without paper first). Place paper on wet mod podge. Smear more mod podge on top of paper.
3. Cut your felt into four squares and glue at the bottom of each corner.
Add another layer of mod podge. Wait to dry.
Spray with acrylic gloss. Without it the Mod Podge getting wet will ruin.
Set out on a table to display our lovely new coasters.
