I'm still alive, guys.
A week is far too long to be away from my precious blog.
Big changes and plans will be happening this month.
A week is far too long to be away from my precious blog.
Big changes and plans will be happening this month.
In 27 days I will be a Denver woman. It's crazy to think about.
First off....I've been obsessed with soup and salad lately. Just addicted. Kid you not. That's all I ever want for lunch. Just give me some creamy soup and a salad bar and we can call it a day. It's 12:26 in the morning and I feel like I could use some soup right now. It's cold and windy. Why not?
I just found out that I only work 2 days this month. It will be sad leaving The Art Museum, showing the kids around and having discussions with them is always exciting and never gets old. It's made me realize that if I wasn't going into photography I would love to be an art teacher, especially for children. Maybe somewhere along the road I can still educate children about art. They always have the best comments.. such as "I think the artist wanted blue for the lizards blood and brown for the mud!" I could honestly talk about them all day.
I have a few more photo shoots to do before I leave..including a wedding which is always nice to do. I am also planning a "Mariah goes to Denver yard sale" for the weekend of the 9th & will also be selling some handmade crafts as well. As of right now everything I have organized out of my stuff is piled into the guest room.
Today I finished my scholarship that I have been working so hard on. If I don't get this I will seriously be crushed. In the end I know I have good work though and have sent out a strong message. It was one small step closer to what I really want to do with my photography career someday. Bring awareness and change into the world through photographs. Keiran was my main model for this and he was so patient through the whole thing, such a blessing he is. Conner was also in a few photos...she was up for anything as well. I can't thank them enough. There is one more photo scholarship I am planning on entering but should only be a one day thing and not a 7 day thing.
Yesterday Kerian and I played baker and chef. We baked these amazing toffee cream cheese bars, at first we were a little worried about them because we were lacking on cream cheese and added in flower to thicken it, which was not what the recipe called for. We also used Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. We just laughed and said "Eek! These are going to be awful!" However, they are delicious! The we made a baked penne and eggplant dish. I love pasta, cheese, and veggies, so this look great to me. We didn't burn the kitchen down. My grandma trusts Keiran in her kitchen more then she does me, guess I can't blame her. I did mange to burn my hand twice and smash my finger though. Clumsy? Just a bit.
Today my handsome man texted me and said "If you're not doing anything tonight I would like to take you out to dinner." It gave me butterflies that he was asking me out on a date. So tonight he took me to Benja Thai and Sushi. I order pad thai. Yum!
Life will be busy for the next 27 days. But I'm ready for it.
It's time to get everything ready for my next big move.
