My sweetheart and I took a little trip to Vegas yesterday and it was quite lovely.
Before we left we had some people convinced that we were going to elope. It was great.
However, I did not come home a married woman. I did not come home broke either.
Let me first tell you that before we hit Vegas he reminded me "If I get lost...I didn't get lost..we're just looking around." He hates admitting when he gets us lost. I think it's rather cute so I played along though..and at one point we were just "looking around."
When we first go to Vegas we hit The Fashion Show Mall where you may know has biggest Forever 21. When I told Keiran my budget to spend shopping he looked me like I was crazy due to the fact that I've never been to that Forever 21 and he knew that I would spend well over my planned budget.
Did I get lost? Oh yes. Luckily, he helped me through...the place almost made me dizzy.
Did I go broke? Surprisingly no..I had some money left over for another store which was used at H&M
After the mall we headed to the MGM Grand to see the lions...guess what...no lions. I should sue.
We enjoyed our little walk around the hotels though, despite the lions being gone. We then parked at Ceaser's Palace which I'm sure is one of my favorites..has been since I was a little girl. I've never been to The Cheesecake Factory and Keiran wanted to go...so that's where we headed for dinner. While we were waiting to get our table we sat by the giant tank of fancy fish and then made our way to Bath and Body Works so I could steal some lotion for my hands. Once we got sat down we ordered mocha's and munched on yummy bread. With the two of us being cheesecake people we had to save room for dessert. He got White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle and I got Tiramisu.
After we ate we decided to go kill our feet and bodies more.
Up the strip and down the strip. People watching and looking around.
Keiran even let us go into M&M world...even though he hates the smell because it's like chocolate threw up everywhere. Crazy man doesn't like chocolate...I still love him though. After M&M world we exited out a different way and got a little lost again...I mean...just decided to look around. We then headed over to Miracle Mall where he decided Gelato sounded good. I got in trouble for taking too big of bites...it was too yummy to not! We then had to take a rest and sit with our gelato.
We went to go catch the Ballagio Fountains...but silly me didn't realize it ended at midnight. We got around there at 12:16. Shucks. Next time.
When we decided to walk back to the car we got to the Forum Shops and noticed the door was locked. We about died. Luckily the door right next to it was open. We started to breathe again. When we got to the top of the spiral escalator a couple of Asian women started asking us where to go....in their language. I may or may not have pointed them in the right direction. Walking through the Forum Shops we were basically the only ones...a little creepy but awesome at the same time.
We finally got up to the car at about 2 a.m Utah time. Being the sweetheart that he is he cranked up the heat and gave me his jacket as a blanket to use because he knows I get cold easy. I told myself I wasn't going to fall asleep so I could keep him company while he drives home...I fell asleep anyway. He got us home safety at 4 in the morning. I didn't even wash my face I was so exhausted. I was told that if you go to sleep with make up on you'll wake up looking like a rockstar...I think a zombie is more like it.
Our trip ended up lovely. & it definitely helps when you have great company.
This was just the practice round for next time. Next trip we might have The Little White Wedding Chapel located.
sounds like a lovely day. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like an awesome time, I definitely want to go to Vegas! I'm going to start using the "we're not lost, just looking around!" - genius!
