I'm proud of my size!

I am SO glad I found this.
I get tired of the negativity with sizes in people.
All sizes and people are beautiful in their own way.
Let's face it. Sometimes people are just born the way they are built.
Some people like to be larger, some people like to be thinner.
We are in a world full of different sizes and different people.
Isn't that what makes us all unique?

I'M PROUD OF MY SIZE is simply where you post of photo of yourself, telling your size, and just being fabulous no matter what size. I've seen girls from a size 2-30.
My main concern? I love to feel healthy and happy and accept myself for who I am.

TEN.

I've never really had a problem with being a size ten, no matter the weight I lose either, I stay that way because of my larger hind end. & I'm okay with that. I've never tired to force myself into a size smaller, because let's face it, it doesn't look good when you don't wear your own size. SO EMBRACE IT LADIES.

Dress: Brand is Mustard Seed. About $20
Scarf: Forever 21. $12
Belt: Targert. $10

Dear 14 year old me,

You are not fat. You are a size 2 for goodness sake.
You wear too much make up and need to stop putting on more layers of it during class.
You can really do well in school if you try. You are smart, you just don't know it yet.
You are a odd child trying to be emo when you are truly a preppy and happy soul.
You're confused and haven't found yourself yet, but seriously, the Miss Murder and Meriuh Monster nicknames gotta go. Mariah is good.
You don't even like screamo music.
You just don't  know who you are yet, it's okay. But just stop trying too hard, it's not a good look.

Love,
The more curvy and natural, overachiever, happier, older and much wiser,
Me.

No thanks.

But some of your pinterest "health" boards kind of make me a little uncomfortable.
Can we try "Nothing tastes as good as skinny healthy feels."
Seriously.

Sunday Inspiration

Photography books.

It was a Sunday Morning well spent.
The rest of today I knew I had to study hardcore for my placement test and took the morning to relax.
I decided to lock myself in my room with a Chai latte and my photography books.
These books give me inspiration and excitement of having my work published into a book someday.

In Portland I would love to spend my time in Powell's bookstore and get lost in the photography section.
When there weren't creepy men going nuts and drooling over the nude photograph books. Made things awkward.
Once I found a postcard leading to someone's photo project, it was interesting to say the least.
Click here to read the blog about the stranger's secret hidden in my book

My collection so far makes up of  these six books.
Places by Jim Krause- "Ideas and inspiration for creating professional-quality images using standard digital equipment"
Face Time by Patrick De Wilde- This book has photographs of many faces from different countries. Something I hope to do one day. It shows the true beauty of the people and their culture.
Citizens of the Sea... National Geographic- I had an obsession with intense sea animals for awhile. I was hoping to take photos underwater while in Mexico. I thought this book would be a good inspiration for me, exploring the deep blue ocean with my camera. I chickened out though.
Annie Leibovitz At Work- This wonderful book shows the photographs she has taken of the famous. She tells stories behind the photographs and how she made the photos in her own words. You get a real look of Annie behind the lense.
Pilgrimage by Annie Leibovitz- If you are an Annie lover like I am this is highly recommended. Not only is it filled with amazing photographs but it goes into depth about the photos and the history of the places she traveled.
Vanity Fair The Portraits..A century of iconic images.- It's a true beauty. It is simply large prints of portraits from Vanity Fair telling the year it was taken, the photographer, and the subject. My goal is to memorize all of the photographs, the year and the photographer. I'm sure I've narrowed down Annie's photographs.

Someday I'll get there.
Someday my work will be printed onto pages of a book and stories of my photographs will be written and read.
Someday I'll inspire other photographers too.

A good feeling

You think you have pin-pointed exactly what you want to do with your career in photography someday.
You are positive that you want to make a change in the world with photographs.

Share your idea with a boy that makes you smile
& this is their response
"Not gonna lie, its really refreshing talking to a beautiful confident woman with strong convictions and a great idea of who she is! its quite sexy I must say."
-Keiran

I feel like a million bucks.

Healthy over skinny.

Once upon a time.
I use to be skinny. Size 3-4.
I also didn't eat very much.
I was not as happy as I could have been.
I even felt fat.

Today I am 5' 4.5" and a size 10-12.
I have some curve.
& honestly love my body.
I enjoy looking like a young woman.

But of course like every girl, I have my days. Like today.
I feel like a chub chub.
No, not fat, just a chub chub.

Days like these I have to remind myself of this...
I cannot stress, when I stress I gain more weight.
You have one body, just love it.
You don't have to be skinny to be beautiful.
Don't concentrate on your flaws

The point is
I'm curvy, healthy, and happy.
Ya dig?

Do however remember
Eat foods that will make your body say "thank you."
Water. Water. Water.
& Daily activity.
Don't forget the smile on your face too.
