Pimp your Holga.

Remember the show "Pimp my Ride" on MTV?
Kind of like that. But 100x better.
Because cars are overrated & cameras are cool.

I mentioned the other day how I had to get a Holga for class and just how excited I was. I also said that I would decorate it. Well, tada!
It turned out just how I visioned it.
When I was first looking at Holga cameras I was more then tempted to buy the mint green camera. however, now that I have a black one I just added mint green & pearl white on top!
I'm very indecisive with colors and couldn't choose between mint green or pearl white, so why not do both? A pearly mint holga. I'm not very good at painting, maybe I'll get a thinner brush and touch up the edges
& of course some buttons. For those of you who have received handmade cards from me would not be surprised by this. The yellow and purple added some good color.

What I used.

Vuala!

I'm high.

That's what happens when you work with mod podge for too long.
I'm pretty sure this can make any crafty lady high though.
It says non-toxic. I find that hard to believe.
My eyes burn. & my head hurts. & I think I'm high.
But I don't know, because I've never been high. but I'm pretty sure this is what it feels like.
Bad feeling. Never get high.
 You will die.

DIY Coasters

Scrapbook paper and tiles create great coasters.

I've been wanting to do this project for a long while now and finally had the chance to!
It's a good thing my Aunt doesn't have facebook or follow my blog.
I made these for her birthday which is on Friday.

Supplies
4x4 tiles: I bought 6 at Home Depot and it only cost me $1.02. Boom!
Scrapbook paper.
Mod Podge.
Felt.
Strong adhesive. I usually go with hot glue.

 Steps
1. Cut your scrapbook paper to the size of the tile. Mine turned out a bit smaller creating a boarder.
2. Smear mod podge smoothly onto tile (without paper first). Place paper on wet mod podge. Smear more mod podge on top of paper.
3. Cut your felt into four squares and glue at the bottom of each corner.

Add another layer of mod podge. Wait to dry.
Spray with acrylic gloss. Without it the Mod Podge getting wet will ruin.
Set out on a table to display our lovely new coasters.
Easy as one, two, three.

Ta-Da!

I'll be back.

My lovely blog and readers,
If I neglect you for a week, I have my reasons.
I will be saving the world.
Saving the oceans and beautiful creatures living within them.
I may have over exaggerated.
I will however be saving some baby sea turtles.
That was no exaggeration.
I will be leaving in the morning and will be home on Friday the 21st.

Further news, I'm learning how to cross stitch and found a dead bug that could eat me alive.
The end.

Enjoy your week!

I know it's a bunny rabbit...you can laugh. It's okay. I think he's adorable.

Cards.

In case you didn't know I love and enjoy being crafty and making various things.
One of my favorite things to design and create is cards.
From birthday, holidays, and graduation (I had 7 graduates to make cards for this year.)

One of the hardest things for me when it comes to making cards is if it's for a boy.
Because well, my look is usually pretty soft, sweet, and girly.
I have to remind myself when scrapbook or craft shopping to pick out some more "manly" card supplies.

Today I made a card for our little neighbor. He is turning the big ONE today.
This is what I came up with.
Hope it looks boy-ish enough for the kiddo, I would hate for him to put up a fuss. Hah!

Here are photos of birthday cards I have done while I've been here in Mexico.
As you might guess, I have some limited supplies and not the usually "cute scrapbook look." while I've been here.
The style is pretty rustic though and I love it.
Not the best photographs taken.

3 a.m.

I usually in bed about 4 or 5 hours before this.
I usually go to sleep at 10 because well I enjoy my full hours of sleep, it's healthy.
Tonight is different though. Tonight I am up until 3 a.m creating this blog
Why? I honestly couldn't tell you.
But I can tell you that this blog here needed a bit of a makeover and a new blog posted.
I would really appreciative if you guys would follow my photography blog as well where all of my Mexican adventures are posted.

I'm a hungry monkey. No wonder staying up late is bad for your health. All you wanna do is eat!
In the mean time while I stuff my face with Cheetos puffs (which I'm sure doesn't mix well with my white comforter) here are some photos you may or may not enjoy.
P.S These were all made by muah in recent events.
