I'm pretty positive I've posted about this recently but I can't help my recent obsession of home decor.

At least I think of things I will want for the home years from now so it will last, right?

I have been fancying a variety of things

I've been having a bad night and day so I decided it would be a lot more fun and relaxing to talk to you about my recent ideas for my home before grueling over my History of Photo 2 online class. 

Keiran will be here in a month and I want my place to just look oh so cute and nice before he arrives.

P.S. I came home yesterday to a two bedroom apartment all to myself. 

It might not last long but I'm definitely enjoying it while I can. 

Pillows.

My boring brown couch needs a combination of colors and patterns.

Lace table cloth. 

& someday I'll have some decent looking chairs to actually go good with such a fancy table cloth.

My question is where I can find this adorable polka dot lace table cloth. 

I did find a set of 4 lace place mats for $4 on amazing. Score. 

Area Rug

Because dorm floors are gross and ugly with checkered puke green and tan. 

However, I just cannot find a decent priced nice looking rug.

Oh opps. It's Saturday, uh what?

Stud earrings.

So today I went into Clarie's to get some new ring snuggies because the one that was on my ring Keiran gave me fell off and I don't know what I would do with my life if I lost it. The lady who was working there then told me "They are part of our buy two get one free sale!" Well since I've been craving for a new pack of stud earrings I said to myself "Hey, why not." plus I got a $10 off coupon for my next visit. Baboom. 

I fancy mixing and matching so it's super fancy to be able to do this with my ears as well since I have a double ear piercing. 

Although it would be even more fun if I had three, which I keep planning to do but chicken out. 

I could handle a tattoo over and ear piecing any day.

The season of Fall
Is anyone else craving the season of fall?

I dislike summer, just not a fan.

Spring is good, but I have some harsh feelings on summer. 

I fancy some scarves, sweaters, and warm cozy things. Colors of warm tones. Pumpkin spice and everything nice!

I expect a good fall this year in Denver. I want to see lots of colors and I cannot wait to decorate my place with fall decor. The first thing you see walking into hobby lobby is the fall decor and I just want to buy everything. & I'm excited on making a new wreath with the theme of fall!

Photo walls. 

Being a photography student and professional in training it's kind of expected of me to fancy a thing such as this. 

There are so many unique ways to decorate a wall of photographs.
I'm in the process of hanging photos by string and clothes pins all across my wall in multiple rows. I ordered 40+ photos today for my project.
I was telling Keiran today how I would just love a lavender colored wall covered with black and white photographs. 

Once upon a time in my families office there was a wall just covered with photos of me growing up. Then they decided I wasn't cute anymore and took it all down. 

The top right photo wall I would just love love love.

Some Serious Eye Candy

Calling all sweet teeth and design lovers. 

I'm on a super health kick right now due to finals. So this probably doesn't help me any, but I just cannot help that they are all so beautiful! 

They are the greatest ideas for parties, gatherings, weddings, etc. 

& the Christmas table sets?! Adorable! I must do something similar for my family this year.

Friday Night Sweet Treat.

Friday's are always perfect for something sweet right?
Since I suffer from a sweet tooth I have to make it healthy most of the time. 

It was cloud so I was craving baked apples today. 

We have no brown sugar or cinnamon. 

I did have butter, sugar, and instant cinnamon and spice oatmeal. 

Mariah baked apples. 

Preheat your oven to 350. 

Cut apple in half and spoon out the core. 

Melt 1 Tbsp. of butter. Mix 2 tbsp. of instant oatmeal, and a tad bit of sugar. 

Add mixture into apples and set in the oven for 30 minutes. 

Vuala. Mariah baked apples. 

Don't forget the coffee. Maybe even add some ice cream.

Peacocks

Any of you who really know me know that I've always had a love for peacock anything, even before the whole trend came along. 

My Mom has a peacock feather tattooed on her shoulder, which is where I got them love of them. I've wanted just the feather tattooed for as long as I can remember.

You can also probably guess that this right here made me squeal. 

My future daughter will have this. 

I will pass down this peacock lovingness through tu-tu.

My Englishman.

It's Friday....which means I should be sharing something I fancy. 

I texted Keiran and asked "What do I fancy today?" 

He asked "For what?"

I reminded him it was Friday.

He replied saying "In England fancy is mostly used if you fancy someone, you think they're cute."

So in this case I most definitely fancy my Englishman. 

I fancy him for many reasons which I'm sure I've said before....but I guess I still like to brag.

He's so sweet and clever. witty and intelligent.
He sticks by my side even 600 miles away.

He listens to me rant even if he has no idea what I'm talking about. 

He makes me smile and encourages me to be the best I can be.

He's healthy, clean, and a morning person.

He likes coffee and cheesecake.

& I think he kinda fancies me too.

Spring Colors

I honestly don't know what's the "in" thing this year. I don't think I've picked up a fashion magazine for at least 5 months. I just know what I love. My random obsession for mint green is probably the last color on this year's spring color list. I'm definitely not digging the whole neon thing though, so take that Vogue.
These are the colors I fancy this spring and hope to bring more of into my life.

House Plants

Why I'm starting to fancy house plants. No idea.

Maybe because it's spring. Maybe because I'm growing after my Mom more and more each day.

I'm quite sure what pushed it is because of the couple plant shops I've been in lately. They each sell the tiny plants such as succulents and other cute plants that I have no idea the names of. 

All I know is I want little plants in little pots. I would probably name them too. You have to name cute things. & these tiny plants in glass jars. Oh my lanta. Adore! 

This is a must for my apartment. A need not a want.

Free Coupons

If you ever want to save a little cash..hang out with this little lady right here. I'm all about saving money and hitting hot deals. We get the Dixie Direct every year and not only am all I for the "buy one entree get one free" deals at many of my favorite restraunts...they always have coupons for FREE stuff.
Last year was the first year they did not have my free facial. I almost cried. However, this year they had a free eyebrow wax or deep conditioning...since I refuse to let anyone near my eyebrows I was pumped for a deep condition. I tore that coupon right out and headed my way over to Fantastic Sams this morning. Now my hair is nice and smooth..feels oh so nice. 

Other free coupons are a free acupuncture treatment, manicure, foot detox for 2, and a15 minute hydro message.

It's Saturday. I'm terrible. I honestly have no excuse either. 

I also woke up at 9:30 this morning...far too late for me.

Skirts with pockets. 

Not only do I love skirts...but I fancy skirts with some pockets on the side. I feel a strong need to expand my wardrobe of more then two pair of skirts with pockets.

Since I always choose to dress up for days I work at The Art Museum..it's really handy when I have my skirt with the pockets on. I carry around this pointer but usually end up not using it. However, when I have my skirt with the pockets I can just stick it in my pocket and not having to worry about it being in the way. The first skirt is the one I wear to work which I purchased at Walmart. Yes, I said Walmart. They have this collection there with some really cute clothing. I love the long flowy length and the floral pattern.

 While we were in Vegas on Wednesday I got another skirt with pockets. What I love most about this skirt is the perfect length... since I have a big bootay I have to watch how short my skirts are because they will become even shorter in the back when I put them on & then I have the problem of not being able to bend over. Yes, I just went there. I love the buttons on the front (which you cannot see in the photo) and patterns on this guy. Also cute with some tights. 

If you do not own a skirt with pockets...I highly suggest.

Healthy Foods.

I find it a god sent blessing to have a love for healthy foods. I fancy eating something and then feeling good after what I ate. 

It's always been natural for me to choose healthy foods. Even going out to eat 90% of what I eat is vegetarian or the healthy substitutes, even more so now then ever before. 

As I write this I am currently drinking my 3rd cup of green tea. 

A lot of times people will ask "Are you on a health kick?" "Are you on a diet?" One time I had this friend who would never fail to say "OMG Mariah. You're not fat!" Uhh...did I ever say I was fat? It's just yummy!

I'm usually the friend going out for pizza that will ask "Anyone else like vegetarian pizza?"

You may be asking if I am a vegetarian, no I'm not vegetarian. However, I could live as a vegetarian very easily. Minus fish, I'm a big seafood person. 

I prefer baked over fried, veggies over burgers, and whole wheat anything is my best friend. 

It if was not for my true love of sweets, I'm sure I would be 4 sizes smaller. But I'm okay with how I am, so I'll keep the sweets...and pastas. mmmm pasta. 

Maybe one day I'll do a blog of all the healthy yummy foods I eat. 

Which may be a result to my weight loss.
