Mexican M&Ms

This is what happens when you hold Mexican M&Ms in your hand for too long.
Even to your face apparently.
Colorful little boy he is.

Art project numero uno.

The kiddos really enjoyed the project I had planned for them.
We painted leaves on the back, pressed them onto paper and it made pretty neat designs.

I was a little worried at first since I have a lack of Spanish speaking skills.
I think I pulled it off quite well.
They looked like they were having a great time!

It was such a joy to watch them expand their creativity.
The kids here are so well behaved...of course being the age of 6 or 7 a few got out of hand. However, when you say "No." They actually understand the meaning of "No" & stop their bad actions. Something most kids need to learn, if you ask me.

They also didn't stick the the leaf thing the whole time and started painting whatever they wanted. Which is expected.

There was quite a mess, and surprisingly me nor the kids ended up with paint on our shirts. Just our faces and arms. & even my legs!

All and all I can't wait for the next project.

Kids and art.

Arts and crafts was always my thing in school and camps.
I excelled at the craft table.
I've always wanted to work and teach kids about art.
Every child deserves to expand their creativity.

I was asked to run art projects for groups of kids every now and then for LIGAmac.
LIGAmac is a group I volunteer with that helps families in crisis.
I am so excited for this to happy and blessed that it finally is.

I start my first project on Wednesday of this week with six and seven year old kiddos.
This week we will be gathering leaves from various plants. Painting them on the back and pressing them onto paper.
It creates some really neat designs.

I think one of the best parts of this job I think will be experimenting!

Cupcakes and Kiddos.

Who doesn't love an amazing cupcake every now and then?
These kiddos sure didn't argue.
It was baby Kayden's first birthday a couple nights ago
& they got these delicious cupcakes that were even filled with cream. Mmmm mmmm.
I always think it's the cutest when little kids try eating things that are almost as big as their face.
At this age, you wouldn't dare let all of that cupcake get on your face.
It's a different story when you're younger then the age of five.
They just dive their little faces right into it.

Young love.

By the looks of it, the big boy enjoyed his birthday too I think.
