He said, She said Valentines post!

So for Valentines day I thought it would be fun to have Keiran talk on my blog!
You always hear our love story in my words, but now you get to hear about us in his words too!
I thought it would be fun to do a "He said, She said" post (thanks to the idea from Green Trees & Red Roses!)
(We have pretty similar answers, but both in our own words)

Happy Valentines Day!

What's the first thing that attracted you to your love?

He said: When i first saw Mariah in person, at her front door as i came to pick her up for our first date, i was struck by her smile. I feel like my heart skipped a beat, i lost my breath for a second, and felt as though i was floating on a cloud

She said: Oh that smile that just makes your heart melt! Even before our first date I fell in love with his smile.

So explain to us your first date together

He said: For our first date i decided, since we are both morning people who enjoy a nice hot beverage, what better than a morning trip to a cute coffee shop? We had delicious mocha's and chatted away, getting to know each other. Went for a stroll around the downtown area. We talked about where we came from, the people we have developed into, and who we want to become. i knew from that morning, she was someone i could see myself with for a long time.

She said: I tried on at least 10 different outfits on the night before. Once I saw him walk up to my front door I had so many butterflies! I thought it was the sweetest thing that he came to the door & met my grandparents. The ride over was a little quiet, you could tell we were both so nervous/excited. We warmed up to each other pretty quickly though, especially during our walk when we talked about our lives & such. I was so very ready for our second date after he dropped me off. & I tried my hardest not to spill coffee all over myself at the coffee shop!

&  your first kiss!?

He said: Our first kiss was such a special moment to me, so special that it doesn't really need much of a fairytale story. We went bowling with some of her friends, went out for a bite to eat, she walked me over to my car to say goodnight, and having had the thought of kissing her rushing through my mind all night, i asked "Can i kiss you now?" And voilĂ , the last first kiss that i'll ever have!

She said: Oh he was so sweet! I was more than ready for our first kiss! I walked him to his car after bowling and a Denny's trip with some friends and he looked at me & said "Can I kiss you now?" with a sweet smile. I said "yes!" It was a sweet first kiss. I got back in the car where my best friend was & was so giddy! "We kissed We kissed! Ahhh!!" I just couldn't stop smiling that night

What's the perfect date for each other?

He said: Our perfect date would probably be a weekend getaway. A visit to a cute little town where we can explore little shops and take pictures, and of course a find a cute coffee shop. We'd stay at a little bed and breakfast, go out on a nature walk, and just be so perfectly in love.

She said: Anything that involves being up in the morning at a new coffee shop, exploring new places, eating at an interesting new place...and a zoo! We like coffee, new places, food, & animals. We can get away with acting silly and wearing Keiran's animal hats.

You decide to make a dinner for each other. What's be on the menu?

He said: The perfect meal that i'd make for Mariah would be something fresh and healthy, and of course something sweet for dessert. Pasta, fresh vegetables from the farmers market, maybe a light lemon zesty sauce. And you can't forget the cheesecake.

She said: Unfortunately, I am not much of a cook, he's the one that can cook better than I can. Which of course is okay by me :] Since we are both veggie people I would do anything with veggies. I think making a veggie pizza would be super fun! & of course dessert, like cookies & hot chocolate!

Any favorite memories together?

He said: My favorite memory will be a memory i will never forget. It was a beautiful rainy night, we had been to the circus and had such a great time, and had gone for a drive up on the hill overlooking the town. We were talking, and i guess i must have gone silent for a few minutes. She asked what was on my mind, and i just let it out. "I've fallen in love with you." Even though we knew she would be leaving to Denver soon, i knew i wanted to do whatever it took to make things work. I was in love, true love, and i couldn't imagine being any happier.

She said: This was so very hard to narrow down to, but I agree with Keiran, the night he told me he loved me was defiantly something I will never forget. We were at a place in our relationship where we didn't know what to do since I was moving to Denver, I think we both knew we were falling in love & how hard it would be for us.  When we were driving home from the circus he looked at me and said "Can I kidnap you?" Somehow I had this gut feeling that he was going to tell me. We drove on top of the old airport talking and he told me he was falling in love with me. I started to cry, I was so happy. After that we both knew that it was right for us to be together and tackle on a long distance relationship.

What are the things you love the most about your relationship.
(A lot of times I'll say "I love us.")

He said: I love us because we are just two peas in a pod. I'm the cream to her coffee, she's the chai to my tea. We have a lot of the same ideas and beliefs. We want similar lives. I love going to art museums and galleries with her. I love that she'll watch Jazz games and suffer through soccer games for me. I love that we can have just a perfect night together, watching AFV and eating cheesecake on the couch. And then even our differences are perfect. She's a visual artist, i'm more comfortable with words. I love that we can be goofy together, i can make her laugh with a single look, she can make my heart melt with a smile. I love us.

She said: I love how strong of a couple we are! Long distance relationships are not easy, however, it has made us into such a strong couple. I love that I can be myself with him 100%, I can feel beautiful, confident, and just be silly me & he loves me oh so much for it. I love that we have the same values and beliefs in life, I really never thought I would find someone with all of the same beliefs as I do, but I did and I'm so thankful for it!

One year together.

2012 was a pretty big year for me. One of the biggest things was falling in love with my wonderful boyfriend, Keiran. I am such a lucky girl. This year we have decided to tackle on a long distance relationship and I'm so glad we did.

I guess this is not the day we actually became "official" but to be honest, I don't think we really know when we became official because after our first date we were almost inseparable and fell in love quickly.

Right before our date I texted him asking "..Do you mind if I bring my camera" He replied with "I was expecting you to!"
Only I would take my camera on a first date..but hey, I had a good feeling about it.

When he came to pick me up my heart kind of stopped when I saw him get out of his car. He came to the door and introduced himself to my grandparents. I thought it was super sweet.
Our first date was to have coffee at 25 main and go for a walk. We both ordered Mochas and sat down. When our mochas came out they were in these large mugs & I was so nervous that I would miss my mouth and spill it all over my light pink blouse, then he would think I was a messy and wouldn't like me.
Well, now he really does know I'm a messy eater and still loves me.
While having coffee we talked and I was thinking how cute I thought his scruffy scuff looked. I wanted to kiss his face. But, that might have been a little too fast.
As we got up to walk out of the cafe, my leg hit the table and some coffee spilled out of a cup, he didn't even notice, I was nervous that he might think I was a klutz....so I just walked away, sorry waitress, I really do feel bad now, I'll be nicer this year.
Now he really does know I'm kind of a klutz, and loves me!
We took a walk around the park and had a nice sweet talk. I wanted to hold his hand.
When he dropped my off I had a wonderful feeling that our next date would be very soon.

He is the cream to my coffee and the love of my life.

One Month. 600 Miles.

1 1/2 months down. 1 month to go!
In a month from today I will be packing to fly home for three weeks. I will get no sleep this night because I will be so anxious to see my wonderful man in the airport waiting to pick me up.
Airport kiss movie moment? You know it. Our public display of affection may or may not make people feel uncomfortable.
We have great plans for my trip home. Vegas, he is taking me to go see Aladdin at Tuachan!, trip to Vernal with Grandma for my cousin's wedding, and camping. You also have to include our usual coffee dates and movie nights. Oh, and cook together. (More like he cooks while I snitch ingredients.)
It's exciting and the month countdown is finally here.

He's sick now & it's hard to not be there with him to make him soup and hot tea.
The only thing I can do is demand he rest.
Just like he had to do this week while I was feeling under the weather.
& write him letters.

Park Day!

It’s Keiran’s spring break…which pretty much means it’s my spring break too. Hip-Hip-Hooray!
We do cute things like go to the park on a lovely day for a picnic. I was a good girlfriend and made my man a sandwich, which is something he never argues with.
We played Frisbee and I slipped in mud, my poor Toms need to meet the washing machine now.  I tried to play soccer. Not as pro as he is…close though ;]
He teaches me how to long board with a goal of not falling and cracking my head open. Success.
We walk to Twentyfive Main and get yummy cupcakes because they were having a special for students. He got orange bloom and I got raspberry chocolate…something I knew I didn’t have to share because he doesn’t like chocolate.
We brought chalk and drew cute pictures of dinosaurs. My dinosaur made his cry. He drew a little picture of our park day, him playing with a giant Frisbee and me on his long board.
We played even more Frisbee but this time a little four year old decided he wanted to play. He informed me that he won and got the trophy. I didn’t argue..Even though I wanted the trophy. He even showed me his “super move.” Cute kid.
Keiran got a sunburn…I got a tan.

We're a hot hot couple.

I call him mine.

Since we have not made this "facebook official" i'll make this "blog official"
I need to show him to the world.
I'm pretty sure I have tried writing this post about 6 times.
No words seem to describe the happiness I feel right now.
The happiness of being able to call him mine.

I remember when he asked me out on our first date, I had the biggest butterflies.
That day I never felt so nervous and excited all at the same time.
We were so shy but I thought he was more then adorable.

I still get butterflies when I know I'm going to see him.
I get so happy and giddy talking about him.
My cheeks hurt when I'm around him from all of the smiling and laughing.

We are so much alike, two peas in a pod.
He is so respectful and sweet.
He thinks I'm beautiful and lovely.
He gives me so much confidence in myself.
He notices the smaller things about me.

I'm crazy about him.
I cannot tell you how special he is to me & how good he is to me.

It's a rainy day.
I start my new job tomorrow as a docent for The Art Museum.
Think I've nailed what I need to know for my job.
Subway for breakfast. Chai latte for lunch.
Scrapbook paper shopping for cards.
Going to the circus with a handsome man.
I'm twitterpated.

Life's good.

Thankful Thursday

Today Keiran and I went on an early morning drive so I could take some photographs.
He was a sweetheart and didn't mind being ready by 6:30 a.m.

I am thankful today of the beautiful place I call Home. There is so much beauty around my hometown.
We drove out to Springdale, such a quiet and quaint place.
I am also thankful Keiran came along with me today too, he made it very enjoyable.

Needy for love?

"Everyone is in love!" I say in a whiny voice
"You have your whole life ahead of you." she replies.
That's the answer I always hear from everyone.

No, I am not looking to put a ring on it anytime soon.
However I can't help but wish for that special person sometimes.
Butterflies in my tummy. Cuddling. A kiss under the stars.
Sounds sweet, right?
Nothing is ever wrong with a little love.

But maybe Lucy is right... I could get myself into some trouble being in love right now.

Sunday Song.

Goodbye-Ke$ha.
I have been repulsively played this song on repeat throughout my week.
& it's hard for me to not sing aloud to.
It's a nice change to hear Ke$ha actually singing she has a beautiful voice and I feel that she needs to show that more.
I love that this song has a strong meaning as well.
Unlike her usual get drunk and act bat s*** crazy covered in glitter lyrics.

Dare I say why I have a connection with this song. Not as if it's a secret in my life.
Those of you who know me know I've been through this a couple times in my life.
It's true, it's hard for me not to get emotionally attached to someone.
For the past while I am in one place for 6 months or less. Then I leave and go somewhere else.
This is hard when it comes to the "dating" category in my life.
You are friends with a nice guy, go out a few times, and you get a little more attached then you should.
OR you leave and the guy who you had a huge crush on tells you he had feelings for you. & you won't be going back.
Which brings me to the conclusion of not dating till I get to Denver. Because I am quite positive I will be there for longer then 6 months in my life.

Might I warn you that not every word in this song has a connection to my life.

"Find a way to close the door and be okay with nothing more but I found you once, your lost again. 2,000 took what could have been."

Fancy That Friday.

Let's talk weddings for this Fancy Friday.
Forget Pinterest for my wedding planning now....
Greenweddingshoes{dot}com is where it's at.
It has so many different inspirations for weddings, galleries, DIY ideas, Honeymoons, ect.
I quite fancy this site.

No, I am not planning on getting married in the near future.
However, with my high estrogen levels from time to time, a girl can dream of that wonderful day every so often, am I right?

There is a list of Real Weddings you can browse for different inspirations of wedding styles. I enjoy browsing my time among the Vintage, Handmade, and Whimsical wedding boards.

They provided some color schemes that caught my eye to be very appealing.
Gold and Sea Foam.
Mint Green, Blush, and Poppy Red.
Coral, Peach, and Soft Blue.

Feathers, Birds, Giant Trees, Red velvet wedding cake, Men in bow-ties, Vintage chairs, Handmade decor, Sweet tooth bar, Pin Wheels and a Ferris wheel is what you'll be experiencing at my wedding
Okay, the Ferris Wheel may be a little out of budget.

The handsome prince that plans to put a ring on it someday better be ready for what I have up my sleeve for this day of ours.
You better be nice to me now because I'll have the cutest little ol' wedding and you must be apart of it.
